The Division of Licensing Services in New York states that first time NEW licensees or registrants are classified as individuals who have never been licensed and have not scheduled an exam through eAccessNY and want to schedule an exam. To sign up for the exam, register for an account on the Department's website (www.dos.ny.gov) entitled "eAccessNY,” then click on "Apply to Take an Exam" in the main menu, and then follow the instructions.
